چکیده
Among challenges implicit in the transition to post–fossil fuel energetic model, finite amount of resources available for technological implementation CO2 revalorizing processes arises as a central issue. The development fully renewable catalytic systems with easier metal recovery strategies would promote viability and sustainability synthetic natural gas production circular routes. Taking Ni NiFe catalysts supported over ?-Al2O3 oxide reference materials, this work evaluates potentiality biochar methanation. competitive was found dependent on creation basic sites catalyst surface. Displaying lower Turn Over Frequencies than Ni/Al catalyst, absence achieved Ni/C related depleted performances. For catalysts, analogous Ni5Fe1 alloys were constituted both alumina supports. highest specific activity series, exhibited by NiFe/C surface along weaker NiFe–C interactions, which resulted increased Ni0:NiO populations under reaction conditions. In summary, present establishes supports material consider within future low-carbon panorama.

Hydrogen Rich Fuel Gas Production from 2- Propanol Using Pt/Al2O3 and Ni/Al2O3 Catalysts in Supercritical Water
Hydrogen is an important chemical in many industries and it is expected to become one of the major fuels for energy generation in the future. Unfortunately, hydrogen does not exist in its elemental form in nature and therefore has to be produced from hydrocarbons, hydrogen-containing compounds or water. Above its critical point (374.8C and 22.1MPa), water has lower density and viscosity, and a ...
متن کاملH2 Production from Partial Oxidation of iso-Octane over Ni/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 and Ni/β- Al2O3 Catalysts
In this study, the partial oxidation of iso-octane over Ni/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 and Ni/βAl2O3 catalysts was investigated. The results indicated that Ni/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 is more active than Ni/β-Al2O3. The partial oxidation products are mainly H2 and CO for Ni/Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 with hydrogen selectivity up to 85%. The H2/CO ratio is in the range of 1.3-2.0 depending on the operating temperature. It was n...
متن کاملKinetic comparison of Ni/Al2O3 and Ni/MgO-Al2O3 nano structure catalysts in CO2 reforming of methane
The kinetic characteristics of the Ni/Al2O3 and Ni/MgO-Al2O3 catalysts were investigated in CO2 reforming of methane (CRM). The reaction orders (α and β) and the rate constant (k) were calculated using the non-linear regression analysis, in which the sum of the squared differences of calculated and experimental CO2 reforming of m...
متن کاملA general synthetic strategy for oxide-supported metal nanoparticle catalysts.
Despite recent exciting progress in catalysis by supported gold nanoparticles, there remains the formidable challenge of preparing supported gold catalysts that collectively incorporate precise control over factors such as size and size-distribution of the gold nanoparticles, homogeneous dispersion of the particles on the support, and the ability to utilize a wide range of supports that profoun...
متن کاملSilica-Supported Au–Ni Catalysts for the Dehydrogenation of Propane
Inspired by previous studies on model systems, a series of silica-supported Au–Ni catalysts were prepared and tested for the conversion of propane in the presence of hydrogen. The Au–Ni/SiO2 catalysts were prepared by successive impregnation, i.e. Ni was deposited first followed by Au. TEM/EDX results confirmed the presence of bimetallic Au–Ni nanoparticles. The dehydrogenation of propane to pr...
